Job Position: Cashier in Jewellery Showroom
Work location: Sarjapur Road, Bangalore
Experience: 2-5years
As a cashier in a jewelry store, your primary responsibility would be to process sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Here's an overview of the duties typically associated with this role:
• Processing Transactions: Ringing up purchases, handling cash, credit card, and other forms of payment, and issuing receipts to customers.
• Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions about products and prices, and assisting with any concerns they may have during the checkout process.
• Product Knowledge: Having a basic understanding of the jewelry inventory, including different types of metals, gemstones, and designs, in order to answer customer inquiries and upsell additional items if appropriate.
• Point of Sale (POS) System: Operating the cash register or POS system to accurately record sales, apply discounts or promotions and generate receipts.
• Inventory Management: Occasionally assisting with inventory management tasks such as checking stock levels, tagging merchandise, and restocking items on the sales floor.
• Security: Following store policies and procedures to ensure the security of cash and valuable merchandise, including proper handling of cash and adherence to security measures.
• Cash Handling: Counting cash at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accuracy, reconciling sales receipts with cash and credit card transactions, and preparing deposits for the bank.
• Maintaining Cleanliness: Keeping the cashier area clean and organized, including wiping down surfaces, organizing merchandise displays, and ensuring that all necessary supplies (such as bags and receipt paper) are stocked.
• Compliance: Adhering to company policies and procedures, as well as legal regulations regarding the sale of jewelry, such as gemstone certifications and precious metal regulations.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
