Job Summary
As a Cashier at our Clark Drive location, you will provide excellent customer service, handle transactions accurately, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role is vital in ensuring smooth store operations and fostering customer satisfaction. Bilingual skills and prior experience in retail or cashiering are highly valued but not necessary.
Schedule
Part time or full time. Shift times 10:00AM - 6:00PM or 10:30AM - 6:30PM (closing). Do note for part time we prefer full day shifts, between 2-3 days per week.
Pay
From $18.25 per hour. If you have previous cashier experience we can discuss a higher starting wage.
Duties
Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
Accurately and efficiently process POS transactions
Follow cashier procedures such as (but not limited to): daily opening and closing, float, employee purchases, customer orders, and coin exchange
Support with restocking
Perform inventory counts and inventory transfers
Follow proper merchandising standards
Greet customers and help with questions or requests
Follow and uphold store policies regarding returns, pricing, and promotions
Follow cleaning, receiving, and inventory policies and procedures
Skills
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, bilingual abilities are a plus
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of Japanese food and products an asset
Physical ability to do tasks (including standing/walking, lifting and carrying up to 20LB, using hands/wrists)
