Job Title: Cassandra Database Admin
Location: India - Remote
Hire Type: Fulltime
The role of a Cassandra Database Admin at Trident Consulting involves overseeing the design, development, and management of data on Cassandra clusters.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop data models for Cassandra clusters
• Perform end-to-end performance tuning of Cassandra clusters to ensure optimal efficiency
• Install and configure Cassandra clusters in AWS Cloud environments
• Manage software patches and upgrades to maintain system stability
• Develop capacity planning strategies to ensure scalable systems
• Migrate data from Oracle to Cassandra clusters
• Establish and maintain secure connectivity between Cassandra and AWS
• Monitor and troubleshoot issues with Cassandra clusters
• Create and implement data models, designs, and architectures
• Drive standards and best practices within the team
• Conduct training sessions for team members on Cassandra administration
• Provide guidance to less experienced DBAs and developers on Cassandra implementation
Required Skills:
• Cassandra data modeling and hands-on experience with 2-3 live projects
• Cassandra capacity planning, installation, and deployment in AWS, as well as Oracle data modeling and administration
• DynamoDB experience is an added advantage
• Minimum 5+ years of DBA experience
• Minimum 2+ years of NoSQL DBA experience
