Overview
Joining the Aged Care Team, you will provide care and supervision to clients in the community. Reporting and recording on general observations of individual clients, you will complete routine documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responsible for the maintenance of a safe environment for employees and clients, you will undertake appropriate training where the tasks involve the use of tools and equipment. You may also assist in the assessment of clients and provide assistance and guidance to other employees as appropriate.
To be eligible to apply you will have completed the AQF Certificate III relevant to the position. You will have experience in dealing with aged, frail or disabled persons in a community setting and have the ability to perform general duties under supervision. This will be evident in your ability to exercise judgement and initiative in the day to day execution of your work. Committed to maintaining client confidentiality, you will be able to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and to work as a member of a team with a range of disciplines. Past experience in the provision of direct care services in a health related field using a restorative care approach will hold you in good stead for this role.
