An opportunity has become available for a casual dental assistant to join our practice based in north Canberra with some receptionist responsibility. Experience is preferred, but we are happy to train you if you have the right attitude. Applicants must possess strong written and verbal communication skills with a positive attitude, be reliable and motivated with attention to detail, demonstrate the initiative to work independently as well as part of a team, be flexible, be well presented with a professional etiquette.

You must provide details of at least one telephone referee who can attest to your Dental Assisting skills, punctuality, reliability, attitude and ability to work as a cohesive member of a busy team.

 Liaise with patients

 Facilitate administrative tasks and coordinate patient appointments

 Prepare the dental chair and treatment area for dental procedures

 Record information as requested by the clinician on patient records during dental

examination

 Assist clinician during dental procedures including preparation of dental materials

 Prepare and reprocess dental instruments, including sterilisation and disinfection

procedures according to established protocols.

 Monitor dental stock supplies

 Assist in the smooth running of the dental facility

Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
