Start Date - As soon as possible
Hours - +am - 3pm, 5.5 hours per shift
Status - This is a casual role with no guaranteed hours or days. In this role you will be covering sick (oncall) and annual leave.
Location - Elizabeth Street Day Centre, Ashburton
Salary - Starting from $72,074 per annum. Based off the PSA Allied, Public Health and Technical collective agreement.

About the Role
Elizabeth Street Day Centre provides an activity programme aimed at maintaining the best possible physical, psychological and social functioning for each member.
The Centre is open from 10am until 3pm every weekday and offers a range of services, such as socialisation, craft and handwork, assistance with skills for daily living, and recreational activities.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Assisting the coordinator in implementing appropriate activities based on group and individual needs
Planning, facilitating, leading and supporting members in diversional activities, e.g. craft work, games, social interaction within groups
Communicating information relevant to the member - s conditions to the Co-ordinator and refer requests for information of members - health to the Co-ordinator
About You
A passion for caring for elderly persons
An enthusiasm for planning and implementing activities, as well as encouraging participation
Experience within the Health Service is advantageous
Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
Certificate in Diversional Therapy (or interest in obtaining this) is preferable
