The Great Southern Hotel Brisbane (GSH-Brisbane) is a 4 Star hotel located in the heart of Brisbane CBD and near the energetic shopping precinct, the Cultural Centre, and sporting venues Brisbane is renowned for. We are currently seeking a well-presented individual with a solid background in reservations to join our Front Office team in the casual position of Guest Service Agent.
About the role:
As our Guest Service Agent, your responsibilities will include:
Check-in and Check-out of guests.
Auditing all daily hotel transactions and daily shift reports.
Competently taking and processing reservations.
Ensuring professionalism and accuracy with information and billing during arrival and departure.
Taking responsibility to ensure all required tasks are completed accurately and within given time frames.
Dealing with any guest complaints in a professional manner.
Conducting site and safety walks around the hotel.

The successful candidate must have:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A commitment to outstanding customer service
The availability to work on a rotating roster
Excellent grooming and presentation skills
A warm and friendly personality
Confidence to problem solve without supervision.
Excellent time management skills
The ability to work under pressure with excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently & within a team environment
Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage
First Aid and RSA Certificate (optional)
Knowledge of Oracle/Micros - Opera PMS Systems would be considered as an advantage
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office 365
