About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Casual Waiter/tress to join our Chinoiserie team at Jumeirah Carlton Tower. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
• Greet and seat guests in a polite and professional manner, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
• Present menus, offer suggestions, and provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials and dietary options.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them promptly to the kitchen and bar staff.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and courteous manner, following the hotel's standards for service and presentation.
• Monitor and attend to the needs of guests, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and efficiency, escalating issues to management when necessary.
• Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, and glassware, and ensure that all dining areas are clean and well-presented.
• Process payments and handle cash or card transactions accurately, using the hotel's point-of-sale system.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of orders.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of dining areas for special events, private functions, and banquets, maintaining high standards of organization and cleanliness.
About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
• Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a luxury hotel, fine dining restaurant, or similar upscale environment.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, including wine and cocktail service.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to anticipate and fulfill guests' needs and preferences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse clientele and team members.
• High attention to detail and the ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the hotel's operational needs.
