Job Summary:
Frutta is seeking a dynamic and strategic Category Head(s) to lead the development and expansion of individual key business categories: Beverages, Cash & Carry, and Event Management. In this role, you will spearhead product growth, oversee daily operations, foster vendor and client relationships, and drive revenue and profitability. As a field-driven role, it requires significant client and vendor engagement, market insights, and hands-on management. You will be responsible for ensuring quality standards, product sourcing, and the seamless operation of your categories.
Key Responsibilities:
Beverages Category Head:
(2 Open positions : 1-Chennai / 1-Bangalore)
Lead growth of Fruttas beverage portfolio by identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities, while expanding existing business.
Manage stock levels and ensure product availability to support category growth.
Onboard new products that align with market demand and Frutta's brand values, enhancing our beverage offerings.
Conduct product quality checks and maintain robust relationships with key vendors.
Spend 70% of your time in the field meeting vendors, conducting site visits, and managing category-related operations.
Foster long-term relationships with key clients to drive growth and ensure continued satisfaction.
Cash & Carry Category Head:
(2 Open positions : 1-Chennai / 1-Bangalore)
Drive growth of Fruttas cafeteria management operations by identifying new business opportunities and expanding the current portfolio.
Develop and manage product categories within the cash & carry model, ensuring the right mix of products to maximize revenue.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery.
Oversee P&L for the cash & carry division to ensure financial targets are met, implementing strategies for profitability.
Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment to maintain operational efficiency.
Build strong customer relationships, providing customized solutions that foster customer loyalty.
Event Management Head:
(2 Open positions : 1-Chennai / 1-Bangalore)
Lead and execute corporate events, expos, sports events, and other large-scale events, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction.
Plan, implement, and manage event logistics, coordinating with vendors, managing budgets, and ensuring smooth execution.
Ensure cost control while maintaining high-quality event experiences, delivering exceptional value to clients.
Act as the primary contact for clients, advising on event requirements and logistics, and ensuring all expectations are exceeded.
Manage day-of-event operations, troubleshooting and ensuring flawless execution.
Promote Fruttas brand at all events, ensuring brand consistency and creating memorable experiences for clients and attendees.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in any field.
3+ years of experience in business development, category management, event management, or a related field within the beverages, FMCG, cash & carry, or event management industry.
Strong expertise in product sourcing, vendor management, and inventory control.
Proven experience in P&L management, closing client deals, and driving growth in diverse categories.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage and inspire cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in business management software and MS Excel for reporting and analysis.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a field-based environment.
Familiarity with the Chennai/Bangalore market and vendor landscape.
