Job Summary
Results-driven Category Manager Seeds (B2B) to be responsible for the overall sourcing and sale through Retailers in command area of Sankalp retail stores across India. The candidate should have served in a supervisory role in sourcing, sales and marketing of Seed in State/Regional/National level. He will be required to manage procurement, placement and liquidation of Seeds products through retailers across 100+ retail stores across India.
Job Responsibilities,
Translate organizations business strategy for Seeds into state and therefore, store-wise business to achieve the business plan. Planning and achievement to be done for budgets of sale and margin (% and absolute).
Establish and maintain strategic relationships with Seed Producers and distributors for sourcing of Seed products across India
Manage inventory levels of all SKUs across India at warehouses and stores. Also ensure minimum fill rate for the Seed products at all stores.
Plan and drive execution of promotional activities (enablers) across all stores
Ensure liquidation of the stock timely
Forecasting demand across relevant geographies
Ensure adherence to business SOPs in retail operations
Ensure required regulatory compliance at the store level.
Facilitate development of relevant training material and effective delivery of training for Seeds
Job Qualifications And Experience
B.Sc. in Agriculture is mandatory.
M.Sc. in disciplines related to Agriculture or MBA in Agribusiness is preferred.
Must have an experience of 10+ years in the sales amp; marketing of Seeds
Must have served in a state /country level supervisory role for 5+ years
Job Skills
Experience across multiple states is preferred
Good technical and commercial knowledge and understanding of seeds (field crops and vegetables)
Proficient computer operation skills including use of MS Office, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
Comfortable with extended travel across the country
Excellent negotiation skills and team management
