Permanent client side role, collaborative team and manager
This large, highly respected organisation has a requirement for a Category Manager with a Projects background to join their highly talented and innovative Procurement team.
This is a newly created role which will see you reporting to the Procurement Manager while working closely with Project Managers on a variety of exciting construction projects.
Duties
Building and maintaining strong relationships with Project Managers and Suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the best terms and conditions
Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement, including contractual, financial, and operational risks.
Oversee the creation and management of contracts for construction contractors and engineering panels etc.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and efficiency of the procurement processes.
Provide guidance and training to procurement teams and stakeholders on procurement best practices.
Required Background
Procurement, Strategic Sourcing & Category Management track record
Strong understanding of projects (market trends, and supplier landscape).
Commercially savvy with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and gain buy-in.
Excellent presentation skills for effective communication at all organisational levels
An analytical mindset with the ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards.
This is a permanent role based in Perth's Eastern suburbs. The salary is in the region of $160k + bonus + super + free parking and a raft of additional benefits. This is a highly collaborative team who understand that flexibility is important, and you will be offered a flexible working week with work from home options.
