Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, Digital & Data, Jaybro Group is seeking a collaborative and proactive Category Marketing Specialist who will be responsible for developing and executing marketing, digital & data growth strategies to drive category growth for a specific category group.
This role will help define and communicate the value proposition for their category, identify and create effective content across online digital and offline marketing campaign activities, including product communication, education, technical product support activities, trade events and webinars, to achieve competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Development & Creative Content
Develop effective content and creative to support multi-channel strategy for your focus categories.
Work closely with internal HR, learning and development teams to identify internal communication opportunities to support the group communication activations.
Strategic Planning & Category Growth Strategy
Drive annual, quarterly and monthly planning sessions with your Category – leading development of marketing plans, together with relevant Category Manager.
Develop integrated multi-channel marketing activation to support each category growth driver.
Campaign Development & Implementation
Project manage end to end category campaigns, across digital, social, EDM’s, offline & online events, print, sponsorships, digital media, online publications, and key opinion leader campaigns and collaboration.
Create high-quality online and offline category content tailored to each category’s B2B audiences, such as white papers, case studies, blogs, and webinars.
Implement effective monthly sales promotional campaigns, with ROI achieved within targets.
Develop and implement Content Pillars and manage development and implementation of social calendar.
Brief and oversee development of creative content required for campaigns with internal design studio.
Digital Marketing Performance & Acquisition
Work with Digital & Data team and develop best practice content to support SEO, SEM, social media, email campaigns, and achieve registered customer database growth.
Manage brief for Digital & Data campaigns to internal digital team, and project manage to launch.
Monitor performance, create A/B “test & learn” content copy as required, to support campaign optimisation.
Marketing Operational Excellence & “Best-in-Class” Go-to-Market execution
Monitor, analyse, and report on campaign marketing performance metrics.
Document campaign marketing process and recommend with ongoing refinement.
Create ongoing cadence of marketing activity and maintain category activation calendars for category.
Ensure all project streamlined in Monday.com for efficient task management with cross-functional team.
Budget Control & Reporting
Manage specific campaign budgets, and proactively identify and control Marketing, Digital & Data OPEX budget and ROI for your specific category.
Ensure timely and accurate expenditure with monthly spend forecasting.
Identify and recommend alternative spend allocations for categories to optimise ROI.
Requirements
3+ years of marketing experience in a construction, infrastructure environment, with experience in a marketing function within category marketing, trade marketing, or product marketing .
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent
Proficient in Microsoft applications
Experience with Monday.com and Adobe platforms is advantageous
Experience developing copy content and delivering end to end marketing plans that support business development and technical sales teams to achieve sales revenue and profit targets.
Proven ability to develop and help lead delivery of projects as part of a cross-functional team resulting in fully integrated campaigns
Strong planning, organisation and project management skills
Strong communication skills
