ICT Category Specialist – Professional Services Category

Employment Type: Ongoing
Salary: DCS Grade 9/10, base salary of $129,464 - $142,665 plus 12% superannuation and leave loading
Location: McKell- Sydney, for at least 50% of the working days in a fortnight. Flexible working arrangements available.

The role is to work with the Category Manager to manage all of government contracts in the Professional Services Category. The right candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills which will help them build strong relationships with a wide array of stakeholders and vendors.

About You:
To be successful in the role, you will have:
Demonstrated stakeholder and relationship management skills
Planning, project management and research skills
Experience in contract management and leading performance reviews with suppliers Category specialist skills in ICT categories or large areas of expenditure
Experience in ICT category and preferably in Professional Servicesprocurement
Understanding of NSW Government legislation, procurement policies, framework and processes Developed problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Analytical skills to understand various business contracts, work on large disparate spend data and spreadsheet
Communication and influencing skills- in particular the ability to prepare written reports and provide guidance
About the role:
Partner with stakeholders in procurement category planning andperformance tracking through regular supplier reportingto manage supplier performance
Contribute to the development and implementation of category management plans and strategies that yield superior value for money outcomes by adhering to procurement board directions
Analyse business needs, commercial risks and supply markets to inform category planning and provide governance, advice and guidance to internal stakeholders to build expertise in the Professional Services category function
Provide expert advice and support for creation and maintenance of all-of-government agreements and panels such as Professional Services Purchasing Arrangements, ICT Consulting Commercial Framework & Spend Management Panel
Engage supply markets and internal stakeholders positively to achieve effective communication to meet category objectives
Analyse all internal and external procurement information to effectively develop category strategies for the Professional Services category
Provide support for pricing updates, capabilityreviews and contract re-negotiation
Provide guidance for agency stakeholders looking to procure services contracted under the scope ofAll of Government panels that the team manages
Contribute to development of benefits realisation plan for the Professional Services category and track benefits
