Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant/Cook to join our dynamic hospitality team in a Care Home setting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting food service operations, ensuring smooth delivery and providing exceptional guest services. Duties
Assist with food preparation and presentation to meet quality standards
Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner
Set up catering events, including arranging tables, chairs, and serving stations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and service areas
Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times
Support with stock management, including replenishing supplies as needed
Provide excellent guest services by addressing customer needs promptly and courteously
Assist with breakdown and clean-up after events, ensuring all areas are left tidy
Requirements
Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or restaurant environments is preferred
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
Skills in food preparation and serving techniques
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Excellent communication and guest service skills
Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and to help cover holiday and sickness cover.
A friendly attitude with a professional approach to customer interactions
Experience in hotel or Care Home, Restaurant, or culinary settings is advantageous but not essential
