Our catering department plays a key role in delivering memorable experiences for corporate events, private gatherings, and holiday celebrations. We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Catering Coordinator to support and grow our catering operations.
Position Summary
The Catering Coordinator serves as a key liaison between our customers, kitchens, and market teams. This role ensures that every catering order, whether a small drop-off or a full-service event, is handled with care, accuracy, and hospitality from the first inquiry to final delivery. You help turn customer needs into well-executed experiences that reflect Butterfield Market’s standards and values.
Key Responsibilities
Manage inquiries related to drop-off catering, event catering, and holiday catering.
Receive, process, and coordinate catering orders from inquiry through fulfillment.
Communicate clearly with customers via phone and email regarding orders, updates, and follow-ups.
Open and maintain catering customer accounts and ongoing order details.
Collaborate with market and kitchen teams to ensure accurate execution of catering orders.
Identify customer needs and provide informed recommendations, including portion sizing and upselling.
Resolve customer concerns by identifying issues, proposing solutions, and following up to ensure satisfaction.
Handle a high volume of incoming calls while maintaining professionalism and service quality.
Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and service standards.
Perform related duties as assigned by the Assistant Catering Manager or leadership team.
Support business needs outside the assigned area when requested by management.

Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience in catering, customer service, call center, or related role preferred.
Excellent phone and email communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Ability to learn new software and internal systems quickly.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
Occasionally required to work at market locations to gain operational knowledge.
Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds when needed.
