Job Description
The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue through proactive sales of catered events and ensuring seamless planning and execution of all events booked by both the Catering Sales Manager and property Sales Managers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Identify, solicit, negotiate, and close new catering and event business.
· Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue goals.
· Conduct prospecting, client outreach, and site tours.
· Document all sales activities in the property CRM (Delphi.fdc)
· Prepare proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders (BEOs) and floorplans.
· Communicate with clients in a timely manner to organize all events and hit hotel deadlines for the distribution of event information.
· Coordinate event logistics with internal departments (F&B, culinary, operations).
· Lead pre-event planning meetings and assist with onsite execution.
· Maintain communication with clients throughout the event lifecycle.
· Monitor market trends and competitor activity to drive business growth.
· Participate in weekly planning and coordination meetings.
· Assists with group billing as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Energetic self-starter with excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Has established industry contacts and knowledge of marketplace.
Prior experience in hotel catering sales and event coordination.
Excellent sales, negotiation, and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite) required; experience with Delphi/Salesforce an asset.
Strong organization skills and a detail-oriented personality.
Commitment to superior customer service.
Fluent in English – spoken and written communication; other languages – an asset.
Must have ability to work under minimal supervision and with priority deadlines.
Works well under pressure.
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
· Base salary: $55,000-$60,000 + service charge pool participation

LOCATION AND SCHEULE:
This role is based on property at the Holiday Inn & Suites Vancouver Downtown. Normal working days will be Monday to Friday; however, this role requires a flexible schedule to work evenings and weekends to be present for events as needed.

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
