Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings for plastic components using CATIA V5.
• Execute part design, surface modeling, and assembly integration per project requirements.
• Apply GD&T and ensure parts meet dimensional and functional requirements.
• Conduct packaging studies and feasibility analysis for plastic parts within assemblies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: manufacturing, purchasing, quality, and suppliers.
• Support design validation, including fit, form, and function checks.
• Maintain design documentation, BOM, and revision control using PLM tools (e.g., Teamcenter).
• Participate in Design Reviews, DFMEA sessions, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Support the GRN (Goods Receipt Note) process by ensuring design-document alignment with received goods and supplier parts.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers for tooling feedback and manufacturability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Automobile / Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in plastic design using CATIA V5.
• Strong knowledge of plastic material properties, mold design principles, and DFM.
• Familiarity with Teamcenter, SAP, or equivalent PLM/ERP systems.
