Role Description
Software Development Engineer designs and develops application code in response to business problems and may participate as part of a team on development related work.
Areas of Specialization:
Application Design: The Software Development Engineer defines a technical solution based on business and technical requirements.
Application Development: The Software Development Engineer writes application code to meet the technical solution.
Software Development – S Billing related
• Develop the Pricing, Charging and Billing solutions, mainly for application GTB Billing which runs on the Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB RMB.2.X) product
• Prepare the Technical Requirement & Solutions document
• Verifies the developed source code by reviews (4-eyes principle). Software review findings must be resolved.
• Verifies integrated software components by unit and integrated software testing according to the software test plan. Software test findings must be resolved.
• Understand the product roadmap to ensure compliance
• Supports the solution design, creation of Product Training Materials, Product User Guides, and Product Deployment Instructions within the Pricing, Charging and Billing area, mainly S Billing.
• Develop the knowledge on the legacy applications on the Pricing, Charging & Billing area to support the S Billing rollout
• Mandatory to have proven functional experience in Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB RMB.2.X) product

Your key responsibilities
• Leads development of source code, including descriptions, for all Software Components in accordance with Detailed Software Requirements specification, the functional design and the technical design document.
• Verifies the developed source code by reviews (4-eyes principle). Software review findings must be resolved.
• Integrates software components following the integration strategy.
• Verifies integrated software components by unit and integrated software testing according to the software test plan. Software test findings must be resolved.
• Ensures that all code changes end up in Change Items (CIs).
• Develops routines to deploy CIs to the target environments.
• Provides Release Deployments on non Production Management controlled environments.
• Capture Build and Deployment notes, develop Software Product Deployment & Operating Instructions.
• Checks consistency of documents with the respective Software Product Release, reference the Packages to the CMDB and ensure availability of the CIs within the DSL (Definitive Software Library).
• Supports creation of Software Product Training Materials, Software Product User Guides, and Software Product Deployment Instructions.
• Develops Software Product Operating Instructions.
• Checks consistency of documents with the respective Software Product Release.
• Manages maintenance of applications and performs technical change requests scheduled according to Release Management processes.
• Customizes packaged software (i.e., out of the box software).
• Fixes software defects/bugs.
• Measures and analyses code for quality.
• Collaborates with Functional Analysts and technical Specialists to complete work, as required.
• Works with team members to identify areas of focus, where training may improve team performance, and improve incident resolution.
Your skills and experience
• Hands-on experience in Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB RMB.2.X) with proven expertise in functional design & solution of base and customization using the extensibility
• Hands-on experience in different ORMB functions like Customer, Account, Product, Pricing, Payment, Billing, GL/Accounting, Transaction Feed Management etc.
• Ability to write high quality code according to Deutsche Bank standards.
• Ability to solve business or production problems.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proficient communication skills.
• Proficient English language skills (written/verbal).
• Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrixed organisations.
• Excellent team worker.
• Keeps pace with technical innovation.
• Hand-on Experience in UNIX, Oracle and Java
