Job Title Automation Test Engineer

Automation Test Engineer designs and develops testing code in response to business problems and participates as part of a team on development-related work. The automation test engineer is expected to increase the level of automation and also integrate same with CI/CD pipeline to be able to catch defects early in the lifecycle as well as build a robust test pack for the whole application.
Automation test engineer is also expected to understand application functionality in depth and be able to test application functionality manually where automation is yet not available.

Your key responsibilities
• Work as part of a delivery team, collaborating with others to understand requirements, analyse and refine stories, design solutions, implement them, test them, and support them in production
• Develops test automation code using frameworks and available components to meet the requirements of a business and documentation of the design
• Defines the integration strategy including rationale, integration environment requirements, and determines the product-component integration sequence
• Assesses and identifies mitigation for risks including those related to high level design, integration, and data quality
• Participates in design reviews and identifies opportunities to reuse components
• Contributes to the definition of development and test automation frameworks and ensure standards are adhered to
• Verifies integrated software components by unit and integrated software testing according to the software test plan. Software test findings must be resolved
• Able to understand application features and be able to perform manual functional test execution where flows are yet not automated and requires manual testing.

• Ability to write high quality code according to DB standards
• Strong analytical skills
• Proficient communication skills
• Proficient English language skills (written/verbal)
