Role Description
The Service Transition / Change Specialist is a technical specialist who is a self-starter with expertise in one or more technical domains. Being engaged in SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), Service Transition Specialists will contribute effectively in all the phases of the SDLC. Starting with planning phase, The Service Specialist with enhance the existing new applications and major changes on-boarding process and define and implement a robust process to identify and continuously maintain a central book of change and new application work, ensuring that resource demand is understood & risks are identified and made transparent to Senior management.
Service Transition Specialists will review (with Service Transition Leads and Release Managers) upcoming changes from a Production on-boarding perspective, participate in demos & reviews leading all the way up to smooth productionization of New Applications and change. They will continually drive the standards and adherence to the Production New Application and Major change process and Non-Functional Requirements ensuring applications are built with stability in mind and require minimal manual processes in day to day production support activities.

Your key responsibilities
• Define, Develop and maintain and execute on a Central Book of Work process in relation to Major Change and New Applications for onboarding to production
• Enhance, Develop and maintain an automated workflow for onboarding of New Applications and major changes into Production
• Identify & communicate risks associated with New Applications and major changes into Production
• Continuous analysis of change related production issues and feedback bug fixes into application backlog for future sprints and releases
• Enhance non-functional requirements (NFR) with thorough due diligence for both on-prem and GCP applications
• Prioritization of new application on-boarding and change by application and flow
• Create stories for production engineer owned changes for entry into release process
• Attend and facilitate program and project planning meeting to prioritize bug fixes, resiliency and performance enhancements, clearly articulate potential benefits in form of user stories and acceptance criteria
• Maintain NFR standards, review requirements and specification
