Description
The Business Planning and Analysis position is responsible for providing management with an analysis and insight of Citi’s financial results in coordination with the broader Finance team. The overall objective is to utilize in-depth disciplinary knowledge to generate and analyze reports as well as contribute to the development of new techniques to improve processes and work-flow.
Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.
Responsibilities:
Address strategic issues on an ad hoc basis that are complementary to the regular planning and analysis processes
Develop/coordinate processes (e.g. the annual planning and periodic forecasting processes) and review results against plans monthly including business analysis functions performed by Business Unit Managers (BUMs)
Execute time critical activities for client facing Financial Planning and Analysis teams
Responsibilities:
Responsible for tracking key business drivers for CCB India, providing inputs for management reviews. Also acts as SME / project manager for technology platform implementation / salesforce
Address strategic issues on an ad hoc basis that are complementary to the regular planning and analysis processes
Develop/coordinate processes (e.g. the annual planning and periodic forecasting processes) and review results against plans monthly including business analysis functions performed by Business Unit Managers (BUMs)
Execute time critical activities for client facing Financial Planning and Analysis teams
Independently designs/analyzes complex reports to satisfy management requirements.
Duties include writing detailed and complex specifications for new report programs, spreadsheets, or other devices.
Deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact.
Manages or directs resources/work/ projects and leading or mentoring other employees. Integrates in-depth understanding of business needs with reporting tools and methodologies.
Applies good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the sub function / job family.
Independently deals with most problems and has some latitude to solve complex problems.
Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices.
Moderate but direct impact through quality and timeliness of services provided that effect own team and closely related teams. Applies project management skills.
Makes judgments based on the analysis of factual information.
Interprets data and results through the use of professional judgment.
May occasionally provide informal guidance or on-the-job-training to new team members.
Utilizes developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information.

Qualifications:
5-10 years relevant experience
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
