Global Finance & Business Management ("GF&BM") India is a combined Line of Business-aligned (LOB-aligned) finance & business support team located in India and is part of JPMorgan's global capability center (GCC). We are part of the Office of the CFO (OCFO) organization within JPMorgan, which has 13000+ people across the globe, majority of whom are tasked with managing the firm's Finance function, responsible for reporting quarterly earnings and complying with regulatory requirements along with managing the firm's capital.
GF&BM India was established in September 2002 and currently we have a network of more than 3400+ professionals based out of our Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad offices who support four main "pillars" of work - Controllers, Planning & Analysis, Finance Operations and Business Client & Products. The teams in India are aligned to the respective LOBs that they support which include Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB), Commercial Banking (CB), Consumer and Community Banking (CCB), Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) and Corporate/Firmwide functions. The current opening is within the Banking and Wealth Management team in Bangalore which forms part of the Consumer and Community Banking LOB within GF&BM India.
BWM Finance team in Bengaluru supports the Banking and Wealth Management sub-lob by offering Financial Reporting, Planning and Analysis services to various internal customers including Finance and Business Management leads and Field Finance Management teams.
• The branch network and ATM network along with all the branches, bankers, RBs, PCBs, PBs, tellers, advisors etc and the leadership teams that drive performance at various levels of the Branch network hierarchy are collectively referred to as field.
In this role, the candidate will be responsible for end-to-end development of data visualizations and dashboards in Tableau & Alteryx, as well as ad-hoc analytics. The candidate is expected to task with integrating data in BWM and providing business stakeholders with a holistic view of business KPI and financial performance. A key task is to enable easy accessibility of data and ability to use it in conjunction with existing financial data and other data sources. The candidate will also lead adoption of new tools and platforms being leveraged across the industry.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage BWM focused BI reporting and dashboards on the portal using Tableau, Alteryx and related tools. Drive the set up and production of dashboards measuring KPIs for the Business-LOB.
• Drive innovation with LOB stakeholders during agile development sessions to create and improve dashboards leveraging newly on-boarded data sources
• Query data and merge information from diverse data sources to create rich datasets that enable better decision-making
• Analyze data using tools such as Tableau, Alteryx and SQL to develop and automate reports or analysis that lead to actionable business insights
• Work with other business teams and multi-task on projects to summarize and synthesize data and present recommendations to the businesses in a clear and logical manner
• Support on-going development of data visualization analytics platform by partnering with business to identify needs, define new data sets, technical testing and launch support including training of new users
• Identify unexplored data opportunities for the business to unlock and maximize the potential of digital data within the organization
• Drive automation of new and existing processes
• Support ongoing technology evaluation process and proof of concept projects
Skills / Competencies Needed/Education Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 - 6 years of experience developing data visualization and presentations preferably with Tableau and Alteryx
• Experience with relational databases utilizing SQL to pull and summarize large datasets, report creation and ad-hoc analysis
• Experience in reporting development and testing, and ability to interpret unstructured data and draw objective inferences given known limitations of the data
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and partners from a variety of business functions
• Self-starter who can provide thought leadership and drive results in a dynamic and fast evolving environment
