Introduction: As a Barclays VP Data Scientist, you will play a key role in the overall development, implementation and embedment of the CCO Data Science and Analytics strategy. This is an exciting new space in which to apply data science and analytics tools and techniques, building a data mind-set across CCO. You will bring expert-level data science and analytics experience into the risk and control environment, empowering colleagues to proactively manage risk. What will you be doing Proactively identify opportunities for data science / analytics which will drive enhanced insight into the risk profile and control environment lead engagement with stakeholders. Understand, evaluate and translate control requirements into data science/analytics use-cases. Responsible for development of a culture of continual improvement, including delivering new innovative Data science/analytics use cases, e.g. predictive analytics. Identify potential areas for high value-add collaboration with other data science/analytics teams across Barclays use this opportunity to share knowledge and upskill the teams. Mentor and train junior team members and CCO data specialists in basic and advanced data science and analytics techniques. Stakeholder Management and Leadership Work closely with the CCO Data Science and Analytics Director to deliver the CCO Data Science and Analytics strategy ensuring actual / potential challenges are escalated and managed promptly and stakeholder feedback is acted upon.
