Hybrid Working

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We're flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances These requests will be reviewed and agreed for a period of time , will have a start and end date.

Introduction:

• Manage the BX India governance team and to keep the team motivated and challenged.

• Drive a culture of maintaining high delivery standards. Review all the deliverables produced by the team for accuracy and completeness before submission.

What will you be doing?

• Manage and supervise timely completion of all deliverables in the book of work which include:
 Controls governance & reporting for BX India entity
 Conducting and delivering the quarterly BX India Control forum
 Weekly Reporting to India Management of key highlights, escalation points – status of Issues, actions coming due / overdue / at risk.
 Monthly reporting for BX COO Control Forum, India MBR for BX India Co CEO (Management Business Review) and Authorised Representative Forum Updates
 Quarterly updates for the India Board
 Tracking & monitoring risk events control issues including adherence to the BX India Risk Event Escalation Matrix; performing BCF gap analysis, driving BCF awareness sessions across CCO, publishing key updates to the India and Global leadership etc.,

• Provide support and guidance to aid the resolution of business risk and control issues.

• Undertake special process reviews upon business requests.

• Proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities in the control environment, the associated framework, supporting policies, methodologies, operational metrics, KPIs etc.

• Promote adherence to Barclays Control Framework and check conformance with the other group policies across the functions by identifying key risks.

The role holder will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing an effective Management Information and Reporting proposition, which meets the business needs and regulatory requirements of the bank and also to deliver upon our core values and commitments to all of our stakeholders, keeping Barclays 'Mindset' at fore, always.

What we're looking for:

• Graduate in any discipline

• Experience in Controls, Governance, Reporting and Risk Management preferably in a financial services organisation

• Proficient in MS Office – PPT, Excel, Work & Visio

• Comprehensive understanding of Risk, Governance and Control Frameworks and Processes

• A clear understanding of the elements of an effective control environment, enterprise risk management framework, operational risk or other principal risk frameworks

• Experience in managing or providing inputs for risk/ control committees

• Extensive experience of managing stakeholders directly & indirectly and across geographies & cultures, including presenting to senior leaders, supporting and providing robust challenge where appropriate.

• Experience in a risk and control capacity of a major banking/financial services organisation.

• Understanding of and experience of working with MI & Reporting preferably within Operational Risk space

• Commercially astute, demonstrates a consultative, yet pragmatic approach with integrity to solving issues, focusing on areas of significance and value to the business.

• A strong understanding of Risk and Control environment/control framworks/op risk, including understanding of second and third line functions and impact across people, process and technology.

• Design and managing SharePoints

• Financial Services experience

• Can take quick strategic decisions and evaluate proposals. Challenges with clarity and comes up with alternative solutions.

• Can clearly articulate impacts of scenario analysis and put forward solutions/ recommendations for consideration.

• Challenge the status quo by identifying opportunities for process improvements and implement control best practices across in-scope business areas

• Excellent Communication skills for complex isssues in easy to understand business as well technical language (both verbally and written)
