He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the role
Based in Penrose, this is your opportunity to join a dedicated and skilled drainage team, where you'll be an essential part of keeping Auckland's water and wastewater systems in top shape. Using cutting-edge CCTV technology, you'll inspect and maintain our pipelines, ensuring smooth operations across the city.
Duties of this role will include:
Flushing and inspecting pipes using high-tech CCTV systems
Pump stations reactive and planned maintenance
Repairing pipes and manholes
Responding to overflows and keeping things flowing smoothly
Supporting minor infrastructure upgrades that directly impact the community

You're not just a tech operator - you're a problem-solver, a communicator, and someone with a passion for quality. Whether working independently or collaborating with the team, you're committed to getting the job done right. Plus, you're confident in engaging with customers and the public, making sure they know our city's water is in good hands.
To be successful in this role you will hold:
A full driver's licence (Class 2 is preferred)
Have experience in drainage and CCTV operations
Are flexible to work shifts, and love variety in your day.
Bring confidence with hand tools and a great work ethic
A strong commitment to Health and Safety.
