__Are you a CDL driver AND a natural born story teller?__
We are seeking CDL driver/guides for our historic gold panning tours. Spend the summer in beautiful and historic Juneau Alaska!
• 25/hr plus tips
• 10% Contract completion bonus
• 4-7mo seasonal contracts available from April through October 2026
• Low cost employee housing available
Our company is looking for a CDL driver and guide to operate our buses and more importantly, provide a memorable and educational trip for our clients. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn about the gold mining history of Juneau, AK and be excited about sharing their knowledge with others. We are looking for a Tour Guide with an outgoing personality who can build rapport with clients and sell them on our services.
As a Gold Panning Guide/Driver provide an entertaining narrative on the history of gold mining in Juneau. Once you arrive at the gold panning site you will instruct guests on methods of gold panning and assist as they try their luck at panning. You will need to provide your own wardrobe that should be apparel consistent with gold prospectors in the late 18+0’s. You are responsible for safe loading, transporting and unloading of guests in a friendly, courteous, professional manner
Responsibilities:
• Compliance with all DOT regulations
• Accurate completion of pre & post trip vehicle inspections (DVIR)
• Daily cleaning and minor maintenance of all equipment and facilities keeping them clean, orderly and in good repair
• Obeying all traffic laws and ensure vehicles have all required safety equipment
• Maintaining the gold panning site & “salting” gold pans
• Learning the information necessary to deliver an entertaining and informed narrative during the tour including flora, fauna, gold mining & natural history of the area
• Creating a positive, professional culture and work environment
• Understanding and compliance with company safety & operational policies
