Job Description
The role will be based in London. Strong verbal and written English skills are required with an ability to interact on a daily basis with users based in Paris.
Shift work to cover US clearing hours or end of day batches will be required though the model for this is expected to evolve over time and further regional build out is expected to reduce the requirement for this over time.
Key responsibilities:
Provide Level 2 IT support for the CDSClear business, including hands-on assistance with internally developed trade management and risk systems.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders, business analysts, developers, and QA teams to advance the CDSClear project roadmap, including support for UAT environments.
Participate in an out-of-hours on-call support rota.
As part of an ongoing initiative to extend clearing sessions to align with expanded US trading hours, the Site Reliability Engineer will be scheduled for late shifts until 22:30 UKT, subject to change as the global support model evolves.
Actively manage all CDSClear production and UAT environments to meet SLAs agreed with stakeholders.
Take ownership of and ensure seamless end-to-end daily support for all CDSClear-related and adjacent applications and infrastructure.
Engage with key stakeholders—CDSClear First Line Risk, Operations, and Customer Success teams—to ensure their functional requirements are met across both production and test environments. Coordinate with IT teams to align on production events and ensure all IT-related tasks are planned and executed.
Maintain and enforce standard team procedures before, during, and after daily clearing sessions to meet service levels expected by LCH Members and Clients.
Oversee the daily availability and performance of all CDSClear test environments (IUA, EUA), ensuring all production applications meet performance benchmarks.
Monitor team activity and ensure effective workload distribution across BAU, projects, shifts, on-call duties, and business events to align with stakeholder priorities.
Lead the planning and execution of Disaster Recovery tests and ensure compliance with Business Continuity standards.
Manage incidents with timely escalation and coordination, ensuring swift resolution and remediation across all stakeholders.
Oversee change management for CDSClear applications, ensuring alignment with the firm’s change calendar and adherence to quality gates prior to deployment.
Drive a continuous improvement program to enhance production stability and operational efficiency. Represent IT in change governance forums, advocate for prioritized enhancements with strong business cases, and collaborate with development teams to improve release automation using LSEG-approved DevOps tools.
Lead capacity management efforts, enhancing monitoring tools to ensure infrastructure scales in line with business growth, including increased volumes, new products, and services.
Maintain hands-on expertise with technologies supporting the CDSClear IT estate, including Unix, SQL, Control-M, Web Services, and Networking. Familiarity with AWS is a plus.
Coordinate IT risk management activities for the CDSClear Information System, addressing risk appetite actions and internal audit recommendations in collaboration with development teams.
Ensure the IT Support team engages with Information Security to address vulnerabilities in applications and infrastructure, and that appropriate remediation actions are taken.
