Our support staff are integral members of our operational teams, they are the foundation to ensuring we provide quality care to our families.
A rare & exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven entry level or experienced Cleaner to work onsite with our early childhood education and care team at our established Children First Angle Vale centre!
Working alongside our team of educators, the successful candidate will be passionate about assisting with the smooth running of the centre by providing cleaning services that are second-to-none!
About your new role
Cleaning floors using manual or mechanical cleaning equipment (mops, vacuum cleaners, floor cleaners)
Emptying rubbish and recycling bins, ensuring bin liners are replaced and bins are kept clean and free from smell.
Laundry washing and folding.
Dusting and tidying of all assigned areas, rooms and furniture.
Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and kitchens.
Washing windows, walls, mirrors and glass surfaces and ensure they are streak free.
Ensuring bathrooms are stocked with all necessary items including soaps, toilet paper, hand towels, etc.
Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and materials
Ensuring that chemicals and cleaning products are handled and stored safely.
Responding to scheduled and ad-hoc cleaning requests
A little about you
Previous experience as a cleaner in an educational (school or early childhood) or commercial setting (highly regarded).
Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
Appropriate knowledge of cleaning products, safe handling, storage and disposal of chemicals, or willingness to learn.
Ability to follow directions, policies and procedures.
Ability to work autonomously and have a strong Work Health and Safety focus.
A flexible approach and attitude with excellent communication skills.
