In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and related mechanical systems across various properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and safety standards are met. Duties
Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems such as plumbing fixtures, refrigeration units, and property infrastructure to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
Conduct field service visits to client sites for emergency repairs or scheduled maintenance tasks with efficiency and professionalism.
Utilize diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to assess system health and perform necessary repairs or modifications.
Maintain detailed service reports, work logs, and documentation of repairs performed for compliance and quality assurance purposes.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards including proper handling of ammonia refrigeration systems and adherence to local codes.
Skills
Extensive construction experience related to HVAC installation or repair projects.
Proven service technician experience with a focus on HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems.
Ability to read schematics and technical drawings for complex mechanical systems.
Knowledge of HVAC design principles for system optimization and energy efficiency improvements.
Strong mechanical knowledge covering plumbing, refrigeration, air conditioning units, boilers, and appliance repair.
Field service expertise with the ability to troubleshoot on-site issues swiftly and effectively.
Familiarity with property maintenance tasks involving HVAC systems or general building infrastructure.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred.
Experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems or other specialized refrigerants is a plus.
Proficiency with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters for system diagnostics.
Skills in equipment repair including welding or mechanical fabrication when needed.
Ability to perform maintenance tasks on boilers or other large mechanical equipment confidently.
