Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy or hospital setting, with a strong focus on patient service and care. This role involves assisting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals, and providing exceptional support to healthcare professionals and patients.

Duties

Type prescriptions
Fill prescriptions
Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Perform medication administration and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Utilize aseptic technique for IV infusion preparation, adhering to safety protocols.
Conduct intake assessments to gather patient information and medication histories.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide critical care support and enhance patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate records of medication distribution and inventory management.
Provide education to patients regarding their medications, including potential side effects and proper usage.
Utilize medical terminology effectively in communication with healthcare professionals.
Assist in the training of new pharmacy technicians as needed.
Requirements

Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
Familiarity with Pioneer
Can type prescriptions
Can fill prescriptions
Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care.
Relaibility and honest
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and care.
Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
