We are a small community pharmacy in Los Angeles looking to expand and grow to better serve our community. Looking for a full-time pharmacy technician WITH AT LEAST ONE YEAR of experience in the retail community setting.
Essential duties include:
Greeting customers and operating the cash register.
Performing data entry, including patient demographic, billing, medical history, and prescription information. Training provided.
Answering phones and making outbound refill reminder calls.
Filling prescription order by counting and labeling products accurately and in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Addressing customer questions and concerns or routing to appropriate team member.
Receiving inventory and restocking medications and OTC items.
Ordering, receiving and storing incoming pharmacy supplies.
Maintaining cleanliness of work area, pharmacy counters, OTC shelves and equipment.
Upholding patients rights including privacy and confidentiality. Providing excellent customer service.
Treating customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
Maintaining a positive attitude.
Conducting customers outreach calls regarding compliance and routine matters.
Preparing and packaging orders for delivery and shipment.
Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education & Experience.
Current and in good standing certified pharmacy technician registration from the California State Board of Pharmacy.
High school Diploma/GED required as verified by CPHT certification.
One year related experience and/or training preferred, or equivalent combination of education and training.

Strong communication and organizational skills. Communicates effectively with customers, physicians and colleagues.
Excellent customers service skills. Ability to interact and communicate with people over the phone, sometimes in a stressful situations.
Detail oriented and able to multi-task.
Basic data entry and/or word processing skills.
Ability to verify data input and correct errors.
Read and accurately interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
To be empathetic and understanding when handling customers service issues.
Knowledge of pharmacy law and medical terminology.
Demonstrate a strong ability to work in a team environment and be a team player.
