Chai & Food Bar Assistant (All Rounder)
*Pennant Hills, Hornsbyshire, Hills District*
Part Time/Casual Role/Permanent (Part time/Full time preferred)
We are a small specialty non-alcoholic bar styled chai bar seeking a dependable and reliable individual who is:
Very well organised & resourceful
Has initiative and can work autonomously.
Excellent communication skills
Passionate enough to work in the food industry
The role requires the following:
Working with the manager - order food and beverage stock; stock taking and purchasing duties; managing the menu and food items
Shift work behind the bar preparing chai and food items
Shift work in cooking basic food (training will be provided); food preparation - assisting manager in cooking bulk quantities of weekly food requirements; packing and storing food items
Maintain a clean and organised workplace; utensils, and all cooking items.
General hospitality type of work including customer service and interaction
The role is most suited to someone who
Is looking at developing into a manager in the hospitality industry
Has the desire to be in business management & leadership
Be part of a growing brand
Work with a progressive and diverse management team
You will need to be flexible in your days of work and be able to work a minimum of 5 days a week incuding weekend work - schedule can be mutually agreed upon.
Preferably have a driver’s licence and have access to a car - although, not having a vehicle is not a deal breaker. You will also be required to attend management meetings and necessary workshops/training - both formal and informal. Some travel may also be required.
The role is a full time position however a part time on a pro-rata basis may be considered if all aspects are fulfilled.
Full training and management support will be provided.
The offer is also subject to age, skill expertise and natural ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment. You must be able to legally work in Australia and possess the necessary skills, abilities and experience to substantiate your appl

Your tasks will include taking orders and payments behind the bar, setting up chais for brewing, prepping and serving food/snacks, washing up, managing inventory and getting to know some amazing chai lovers! You’ll need to stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly and have a warm demeanour and a knack for building exceptional customer relationships.
Candidates outlook, reliability and committment are far more important to us than experience. Must attend mandatory training sessions and be available for any future training programmes whenever s heduled. Training in some cases is mandatory for continuing employment.
For a candidate with the right attitude and motivation there is room for growth and promotions within the role. We are always looking for reliable staff to take on more responsibility to support the growth of our business.
