Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the public face of CommBank, delivering a seamless banking experience for the future, to our 10 million + personal and small business customers. We offer market-leading products and services, supported by some of the world’s best systems and processes.
This role will be in the Everyday Products Crew in the Everyday Banking Domain. This portfolio is at the heart of the Retail Bank’s franchise, supporting customers with their everyday transaction, debit card and travel related needs.
Do work that matters
Reporting to the Everyday Banking Product Chapter Area Lead, this Chapter Lead role will play a key leadership role in the Everyday Spending squad through the coaching and development of the skills and capabilities of a team of product professionals. As a member of the Everyday Spending squad, you will support the Product Owner in developing & executing initiatives to deliver our business priorities across CommBank's retail travel and debit products.
More specifically, you will:
Develop and coach a team of product professionals to ensure they have the key skills and capabilities to deliver on key business objectives
Partner with the Value Stream Lead to enable you to identify and create continuous development opportunities for your Chapter members
Cultivate a team environment that demonstrates the values of Care, Courage, and Commitment
Develop, implement, and embed strategies to support the sustainable growth and customer engagement with our retail travel proposition and debit card offering
Drive commercial outcomes across the retail travel and debit card portfolios
Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver on business objectives
Proactively identify, understand and manage risks across the business
Understand dynamics of the Everyday Banking portfolio, including key drivers, trends and leading indicators, and ideate plans to adapt to changing conditions and opportunities
Have a deep understanding of the Everyday Banking customers, be across and pre-empt impact of macro, micro and product landscapes that pertain to everyday accounts
Play a leading role across the broader Everyday Banking team, fostering collaborative culture and ensuring all CommBank’s values are demonstrated at all times

Proven experience in coaching and developing a team
Proven experience in developing a diverse team, leveraging individual strengths to build a high performing team
Demonstrated ability to drive business growth and strategically problem solve
Strong commercial acumen, balanced by a desire to achieve optimal customer outcomes
Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship-building skills
A passion for human centric design thinking and ways of identifying opportunities for driving experience and growth
Strong collaboration with teams on work streams/ project activities end-to-end and the ability to independently manage deliverables
Proven track record of strong performance delivery
Excellent communication and influencing skills
Relevant tertiary qualification
