Job Title: Chapter Lead – On-Prem and Cloud Security
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Chapter Lead to guide and facilitate the execution of agile delivery within a high-performing security-focused program. In this dual role, you will act as a Product Owner, prioritizing and managing the product backlog, and as a Release Train Engineer (RTE), coordinating multiple squads to deliver value efficiently. This role focuses on ensuring seamless collaboration across squads working on on-premises and cloud security solutions while managing dependencies and driving strategic alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Owner Responsibilities:
• Backlog Management:
• Define and prioritize the product backlog based on business objectives, customer needs, and security requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate security initiatives into clear, actionable user stories and tasks.
• Ensure backlog items are well-defined, estimated, and aligned with squad capacity and goals.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, security teams, and development squads.
• Gather requirements and feedback to ensure the delivered solution meets organizational security objectives.
• Roadmap and Vision:
• Define and communicate the product vision, goals, and roadmap for security initiatives across on-prem and cloud environments.
Release Train Engineer Responsibilities:
• Program Coordination:
• Facilitate Agile Release Train (ART) events, including PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, and System Demos, ensuring alignment across all squads.
• Identify and manage interdependencies, risks, and impediments that impact execution efficiency.
• Drive continuous delivery pipelines for security services.
• Metrics and Reporting:
• Track and report on ART performance metrics (e.g., velocity, delivery rate, release predictability).
• Use data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to optimize delivery processes.
• Coaching and Mentorship:
• Mentor and support squad members to enhance their understanding of Agile practices and foster continuous improvement.
• Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
• Alignment Across Teams:
• Ensure squads align with the overall security strategy, including compliance and governance requirements.
• Coordinate with enterprise architecture and infrastructure teams to streamline delivery across on-prem and cloud environments.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Agile delivery, including roles such as Product Owner, Release Train Engineer, or Scrum Master.
• Deep understanding of security technologies and practices in both on-prem and cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Proven ability to manage complex dependencies across multiple squads and stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or other scaled Agile methodologies such as Spotify model.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• SAFe certifications (e.g., SAFe RTE, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager).
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and other Agile project management tools.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards in cybersecurity (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
Work Location: 11:00am to 8:00pm IST or 12:00 noon to 0+:00pm IST (DST), Monday through Friday. Hybrid working model with 3 days in office.
