Role Description
• Lead and manage a team of accountants and tax professionals for effective financial operations.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
• Oversee tax compliance, keeping abreast of changes in tax laws, and optimizing the organization's tax position.
• Collaborate with various departments to develop budgets, provide financial insights, and support strategic planning.
• Manage external audits, address findings, and enhance audit processes for efficiency.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting and taxation procedures.
• Provide mentorship and training to team members, fostering a high-performance work environment.
• Communicate financial information to key stakeholders and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in accounting and taxation.
• Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights for decision-making.
• Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying areas for improvement or optimization.
• Collaborate with external partners, such as auditors and tax consultants, to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Continuously assess and enhance the skills of the team through training and professional development.
• Implement technology solutions to improve the efficiency and accuracy of financial processes.
Qualifications
• Strong accounting and taxation knowledge
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Commerce or Accounting
• Professional certification such as CA/CPA/CMA is preferred
• Experience in a similar role or in the accounting industry is preferred
