Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking & a creative spark. As a Commis Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting our culinary operations, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Chef in preparing and cooking dishes according to our restaurant's standards.
Follow recipes and presentation specifications to maintain consistency in taste and appearance.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and smooth kitchen operations.
Assist in managing inventory, ordering, and stock rotation to minimize waste.
Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance culinary skills.
Contribute to menu development and suggest new ideas for seasonal dishes.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar role in a professional kitchen.
Culinary school diploma or equivalent certification is preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
