Vito’s Cucina & Bar Ascot is a vibrant and modern dining destination offering a fusion of Italian classics and contemporary cuisine. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team and help deliver an exceptional dining experience to our valued guests.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook dishes across all sections of the kitchen, ensuring consistency and high standards.
Assist in planning menus in consultation with the Head Chef, focusing on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
Ensure food presentation meets Vito’s Cucina & Bar’s quality standards.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and managing inventory to minimize waste.
Ensure that all kitchen operations comply with food safety and hygiene standards.
Assist in training and supervising kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Participate in planning and organizing special functions, including catering and events.
Stay up to date with current culinary trends and apply innovative ideas to menu development.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and ensure equipment is well-maintained and in safe working order.
Key Requirements:
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery – This is a compulsory requirement.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Chef, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant or bar.
Proven ability to work across all sections of the kitchen with attention to detail.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
Passion for Italian and modern cuisine, with a creative flair for menu development.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure during busy service periods.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
What We Offer:
Competitive salary package in the range of $70,000 to $80,000 per year, based on experience.
