Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
· Prepare and cook menu items to a high standard, ensuring consistency and quality.
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
· Ensure stock levels are adequate and assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies.
· Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth service flow, including during busy periods.
· Assist in training and mentoring colleagues.
· Adhere to portion control and minimize food wastage.
Applicants for this position should:
· Have relevant tertiary qualifications
· At least 1 years relevant experience
· Proven experience as a Chef in a fast-paced, high-quality cafe.
· Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
· Ability to work well under pressure and handle a high-volume environment.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Creative flair and a passion for high-quality food presentation.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
· Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and early mornings
