We are currently looking for a Cook/Chef to work with our integral team at Whitchurch School, Cardiff CF14 2XJ

• Hourly rate of £12.50 per hour – Yearly salary term time only £20,47+

What You'll Be Doing
• Work well as part of a team of chefs, supporting one another and communicating well
• Supervising and leading your team to success, leading by example.
• Preparing and cooking dishes ready for lunch service
• Following recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve a range of meals
• Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence
• Assisting with deliveries and stock checks / placing orders
• Placing food orders and maintaining kitchen records
• To share responsibility with the Chef manager/Catering manager for the checking, probing and signing of all food deliveries
• To monitor and record temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets and serveries.
• Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans
• Full knowledge of all menu items served
• Undertake relevant training as required

Experience
• Previous experience as a cook / chef of at least 2 years
• Allergen awareness
• DBS check required
• Excellent team player and communicator
• Confident enough to lead a team
• Flexibility and the ability to innovate
