About Our Team

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards of food quality and efficiency that our guests have come to expect.

Main Responsibilities:

• Maintain operational efficiency and monitor time management while adhering to set standards.

• Provide ongoing training to ensure that established corporate standards are upheld.

• Ensure safe, high-quality food products and exceptional guest satisfaction.

• Develop and implement systems, procedures, rules, objectives, and timelines set by the organization.

• Work within a specialized area of expertise to enhance the quality of service and products provided.

• Exhibit an accommodating and helpful demeanor.

• Accept objectives set by others and work within agreed parameters to ensure tasks are completed.

• Mentor, counsel, coach, and support subordinates to boost morale and personal esteem.

• Foster a positive atmosphere among the crew, ensuring fair and unbiased treatment of all team members.

• Ensure full adherence to menus, recipes, methods, and operational specifics provided by the company.

• Seek direction and authority from others when appropriate.

• Achieve set goals in a non-assertive and efficient manner.

• Conduct daily food tastings.

• Immediately correct discrepancies in quality, taste, or appearance.

• Monitor and assist Section Heads in preparing daily electronic food requisitions according to forecasted figures.

• Oversee the Dinner Service Line in assigned locations to ensure smooth, efficient service, presentation, and final plating.

• Use the Culinary Checklist to monitor production and preparation levels.

• Maintain compliance with Public Health regulations at all times.

Key Qualifications:

• Advanced culinary skills, leadership, and experience.

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Quality Hotels and Restaurants.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a management role in a well-recognized luxury hospitality establishment or upscale cruise line.

• Fluent written and spoken English communication.

• Effective communication with senior management.

• Ability to lead and make decisions.

• Good administrative skills.

• Experience in coaching subordinates.

• Cost and quality consciousness.

• Flexibility in adapting to scheduled work hours and circumstances.

• Ability to work with international team members.

• Perform duties under pressure (time constraints).

Preferred Skills:

• Cruise Ship Experience/5-star Hotel.

• Fluency in additional language(s).
