The Roseate Reading was originally Shire Hall for the Berkshire County Council. The building, along with its wide hallways, vaulted ceilings, cornice mouldings and the original lift shaft, have all been precisely restored to their original glory. Who We’re Looking For
We’re on the hunt for an enthusiastic, skilled, and detail-oriented Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. You’re someone who thrives under pressure, takes pride in consistency, and has a genuine love for food and hospitality, and is looking to elevate your skills and taking more responsibility.
Purpose of the Role
As Chef de Partie, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen. You’ll ensure that dishes are prepared and presented to perfection, and maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment. You’ll play a key role in helping us deliver an exceptional guest experience through consistently outstanding food.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Prepare and cook menu items in your section to the highest standard.
Ensure consistency and quality in taste, portioning, and presentation.
Maintain all health, hygiene, and food safety regulations.
Manage stock rotation and ordering
Communicate effectively with other kitchen and service team members to ensure smooth operation.
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or a strong Demi Chef ready to step up.
A passion for high-quality food and a deep understanding of culinary techniques.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time and pressure efficiently.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Understanding of HACCP, food hygiene, and safety standards.
Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are desirable
