Duties
Assist in meal preparation by following recipes and portioning ingredients accurately.
Prepare and cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
Ensure that all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service times.
Help maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including equipment and workstations.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen management team.
Participate in training new kitchen staff as needed, sharing knowledge of culinary techniques and practices.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen environment is preferred.
Strong understanding of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
