About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and talented chef who strives in exceeding guests expectations and wants to join a team that priorities diversity, inclusion in a professional and fun working environment


As a Chef de Partie you will be responsible to supervise the assigned station / section of the outlet kitchen, in order to prepare a consistent, high quality product and ensure courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service that supports the outlet’s operating concept of classic dishes with a contemporary twist using fresh and local produce.


Some of the responsibilities include

Assisting in menu planning, implementation and execution
Working in the main kitchen which services both our Promenade Café, Tea Lounge and in room dining the successful applicant can expect an engaging, clean & safe environment.
To maintain the assigned station / section in a clean and orderly manner at all times.
To train the associates as necessary in the preparation and presentation of the items.
To suggest alternative menu items, meet specific customer requests and interact with customers to meet and exceed their culinary expectations.
Qualifications

A successful candidate will have:

Minimum 2 years work experience
Recent experience in a la carte dining, preferably in hotels.
Experience in luxury international brands, highly regarded
Qualification in Commercial Cookery
Demonstrated in-depth skills and knowledge of kitchen operations
Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards will be essential.
A true desire to exceed guest expectations in a fast-paced customer service environment
