Duties and responsibilities normally performed within this role.

1. Cooks guests' orders according to their preferences

2. Planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities

3. Should be able to cook Indian and Chinese food. This is Mandatory.

4. Modifying menus or create new ones that meet quality standards.

5. Estimating food requirements and food/labor costs.

6. Works quickly and accurately during busy periods, such as weekends and evenings

7. Occasionally takes on extra duties, such as cleaning, when the kitchen is short-staffed.

8. Approves the requisition of products and other necessary food supplies.

+. Ensures that high standards of sanitation, cleanliness and safety are maintained throughout all kitchen areas at all times.

10. Evaluates food products to assure that quality standards are consistently attained.

11. Evaluates products to assure that quality, price and related goods are consistently met.

12. Establishes and maintains a regular cleaning and maintenance schedule for all kitchen areas and equipment.
