Our client is a prestigious culinary academy in Abu Dhabi, renowned for providing top-notch culinary education and training. They are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef Instructor to join their team and inspire the next generation of culinary professionals.
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Chef Instructor with a strong background in 5-star hotels and high-volume properties. The ideal candidate will have a passion for training, excellent culinary skills, and experience at a sous chef level. The candidate must be Arabic-speaking to effectively communicate with a diverse student base.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver high-quality culinary training programs and classes.
• Demonstrate and teach culinary techniques, recipes, and kitchen management skills.
• Ensure students acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the culinary industry.
• Assist in creating and updating culinary course materials and curricula.
• Incorporate modern culinary trends and techniques into the training programs.
• Ensure that all training materials meet industry standards and best practices.
• Provide mentorship and support to students throughout their training.
• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
• Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the training kitchen.
• Ensure the kitchen is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Manage inventory, equipment, and supplies effectively.
• Work closely with other instructors and staff to ensure cohesive delivery of the training programs.
• Participate in faculty meetings, events, and professional development activities.
• Support the academy's mission and goals through active engagement and collaboration.
• Engage with students to understand their needs, goals, and challenges.
• Organize and participate in culinary events, competitions, and exhibitions.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development among students.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in 5-star hotels or high-volume properties.
• Previous training experience and a passion for teaching.
• Proficient in Arabic and English.
• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cuisines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Certification from a recognized culinary institution is a plus.
