Chef / cooks responsibilities include studying recipes, setting up menus and preparing high-quality dishes. You should be able to delegate tasks to kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner. Also, you should be familiar with sanitation regulations.
Must Demonstrate The Following Skills
• Knowledge of management of staff in a commercial kitchen
• Knowledge of menu development and implementation
• Ability to work with suppliers to procure excellent quality ingredients within a budget
• Ability to manage stock control and ordering processes
• Ability to maintain a high level of food presentation
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Time management skills
• Decision making skills
Equipment worked on: Kitchen equipment - grills, fryers, convection ovens etc
Requirements
Any Graduation and Diploma in Hotel Management
Cuisine - Ideally have western experience but the cuisines we get the most requests for are Western, Italian, French, Chinese, Thai, Malaysian, Japanese, Mexican, and Indian
Sections - Must have experience in the hot section, we are not interested in candidates who have only worked or for the last few years has only been working in the cold kitchen/section.
