Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the Mexican food industry and a flair for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, costs, managing staff, and ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality in every dish.

Develop new recipes and menu items that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining customer preferences.

Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures at all times.

Supervise the daily operations of the kitchen, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness.

Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food service standards, and safety protocols.

Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during peak hours.

Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements as necessary to enhance efficiency.

Skills

Proven experience in the food industry, with a strong background as a cook or chef in a professional kitchen.

Excellent team management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop kitchen staff.

Strong knowledge of food service operations, including food handling, preparation techniques, and safety standards.

Exceptional leadership abilities to manage kitchen dynamics effectively.

Proficient in supervising kitchen activities while maintaining high standards of quality control.

Familiarity with bartending is a plus but not required.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 70 per week
