Chef Wanted – Abundance on the Quay Café (Hobart, TAS)
Casual Role | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM | Weekdays Only
Abundance on the Quay Café is looking for a talented and independent Chef to join our team. If you have a passion for creating delicious dishes, are self-motivated, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you!
About the Role:
Casual position, weekday shifts only (no weekends!)
Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Immediate start available
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a high-paced kitchen
✔ Ability to work independently and manage your own station
✔ Strong organisational skills, including stock control and ordering
✔ Creative flair to develop weekly specials and menu items
✔ A passion for using fresh, local ingredients in your cooking
✔ Attention to detail in both food preparation and presentation
Your Responsibilities:
Preparing and cooking high-quality meals for breakfast and lunch
Creating weekly specials and seasonal menu items
Managing stock levels, inventory, and ensuring proper ordering
Maintaining cleanliness and adhering to food safety standards
Collaborating with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service
