Job Description
As a member of the Maintenance department, you will work with other Maintenance professionals and report to a Maintenance Supervisor.
Work Performed:
Your role will be to maintain, repair, assemble and install chemical plant equipment items such as exhaust blowers, fume hoods, cranes, centrifugal and diaphragm pumps, compressors, processing tanks, vacuum systems, sewage processing equipment, evaporative coolers and mechanical seals, sewage processing equipment, agitators, reactors, gear boxes, exchangers, personnel and material moving equipment and evaporative coolers. Boiler repair and/or surveillance highly desired. May assist other crafts as required under the direction of primary craft.
Other Duties:
Maintains, repairs, and installs chemical plant plumbing and utility piping on chemical plant facilities.
Maintains heating and ventilating systems and air-filtering devices when such systems and devices are not associated with AC and refrigeration systems.
Maintains, repairs, and operates . Steam, Compressed Air, Heating Hot Water generation and distribution, Facility fire protection systems and Site Air Emission. Will also be required to perform boiler surveillance as well as performing shop maintenance and clean up.
Work assignments include welding, carpentry, metal work and fabrication.
Maintains a clean work environment in the chemical plant, shop, grounds, etc., as well as any areas worked in.
May assist other crafts as required under the direction of primary craft.
The starting hourly rate for this position is $46.78. This is a union position. We are a 24/7/365 manufacturing plant and candidate must be open to all shifts including weekends and holidays.
Our ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of relevant experience and the following credentials/skills:
High School or GED
Industrial Maintenance experience
Preventive Maintenance experience
Experience with pumps, piping, plant equipment repair
