Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Chief Accountant will be responsible to administer all documentation in relation to the invoicing and receipt of payment of debtors in keeping with the current Finance Policy and Procedures of the organization. Additionally to administer other Finance tasks such as monthly management account schedules, bank and related reconciliations, credit control.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
· Preparation of monthly management and account schedules– Preparation and reconciliation of the monthly income schedules to identify income to be included in the monthly management accounts.
· Updating and analysis of the monthly expenditure schedules to identify accrual and prepayments to be included in the monthly management accounts.
· Analysing the capital expenditure additions in the month.
· Evaluate, document and execute the process of extension of credit to customers and how to monitor.
· Ledger Account Reconciliations-
o Performing periodic reconciliations of selected ledger accounts on a monthly or quarterly basis.
· Funds Management
o Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment
o Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
o Maintain banking relationships
· Budgeting
o Manage the preparation of the company's budget
o Report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances
o Assist management in the formulation of its overall strategic direction
· Management
o Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
o Manage outsourced functions and supplier contracts and payments
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
· Strong understanding and knowledge of basic Accounting functionalities.
· Strong ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
· Good knowledge of MS excel
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
· Minimum 10 years’ experience of working in the finance department of a major corporation.
· Should have presentation skills to present the analyses to management.
· Should have good Excel knowledge.

Salary: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
